I replaced an older pair of HID bulbs with these, and the difference was obvious the first night I drove with them. The light is a much cleaner white than what I had before, and road markings were easier to pick out. Signs also showed up sooner, especially on darker stretches where my old bulbs had started looking weak and yellow.
Installation was pretty straightforward in my car. I unplugged the old bulbs, connected these to the existing sockets, and put everything back together without cutting wires or changing the ballast. The fit was snug, so I took my time lining up the connectors instead of forcing anything. Once they were installed, both bulbs came on right away.
I've used them for several nighttime drives now, including a couple of longer trips, and the brightness has stayed steady. I haven't seen any flickering or dashboard warnings. I also haven't noticed the radio interference I sometimes got with my previous setup. That was one of the things I was watching for because lighting upgrades can sometimes create annoying electrical issues, but these have behaved normally so far.
The beam looks wider and brighter from the driver's seat, but it doesn't feel scattered. I can see lane lines and the edge of the road more clearly, which makes night driving less tiring for me. The cool white color also makes everything look sharper without having the bluish tint I was worried about.
One thing to know is that the rear part of the bulb gets warm after use. I removed one after a test drive to check that it was still seated properly and quickly realized I should have let it cool longer. It wasn't a problem during normal operation, but I would wait before touching or removing them. The connector also needs to be handled carefully since twisting it from the wrong spot could put unnecessary pressure on it.
They've been reliable, bright, and easy to live with so far. I plan to leave them installed.
