Bought these because one of the factory bulbs in my car had started flickering, and the other had gone noticeably dim and yellow next to it. Both well past their prime after years of nightly use, so I figured I would do both sides at once and get matching output again rather than chasing the problem one bulb at a time.
Installation went smoothly. They dropped into the existing ballast and housing without any wiring changes, and the fit was spot on. Took me about twenty minutes per side, and most of that was just being careful not to touch the glass with my fingers while getting the access panel off. No adapter needed, no fiddling around, just unclip the old one and click the new one into place.
Once they were in and fired up, the difference was immediate. The beam is properly crisp and white now, far closer to daylight than the yellow tinge the old ones had taken on. Road signs catch my eye from much further away, and the lane markings are easier to follow on dark country roads. Made a real difference on the drive home through a stretch with no street lighting. The colour temperature is well judged too, bright and clean rather than that overly blue look some aftermarket bulbs go for, which always looks tacky and tends to make actual visibility worse rather than better.
Beam pattern has stayed nice and tight where it should be. No scatter, no random hotspot in the wrong place, and from what I can tell no extra dazzle for oncoming drivers compared to the originals. Build quality on the bulbs themselves feels solid. They have a proper weight to them in the hand, and the seals look neatly done. Too early to say much about how long they will last, but they feel like they should hold up well, and there is a warranty in place if anything does go wrong.
Overall, very pleased with the purchase. The car looks more modern with the cleaner white beam, and the visibility on dark drives has gone up a noticeable notch. Would buy these again without hesitation.
